Program Description

Description

Psychologist Michael Shelby and personality expert Paul D. Tieger will discuss their new book, ReConnect, which explores how digital addiction in both parents and children has resulted in skyrocketing rates of anxiety, depression, and potentially suicide in children and adolescents. Based on scientific research, the book helps parents better understand their child’s potential vulnerabilities, appreciate how the parent’s and child’s personality similarities and differences impact their relationship, and provides individualized advice that helps parents know how to best engage and support their child, and develop the healthiest, most open relationship.

Paul Tieger, MS, is an internationally recognized expert in personality psychology and co-author of several bestselling books, including Do What You Are and Nurture by Nature. With over 40 years of research and teaching, his groundbreaking studies reveal a significant link between personality type and mental health.

Michael Shelby, LPC, LPT, is the founder of the Technology Addiction Center. A licensed professional counselor and educator, Michael has decades of experience helping individuals and families break free from digital dependency. He is also the author of the book Technology Addiction (2022).

Registration required. Registration opens one month before the program at 7:00pm.
