Warmer weather means the return of tick season. Dr. Lawrence Zemel of Traprock Ridge Land Conservancy will provide a timely overview of deer ticks, symptoms and signs of Lyme disease, diagnosis, treatment, and the latest on a new Lyme vaccine. The presentation will be followed by a Q&A.
Dr. Zemel is a retired Professor of Pediatrics at UConn School of Medicine and Division Head of Pediatric Rheumatology at Connecticut Children's. He was one of the co-authors of the authoritative national guidelines on the management of Lyme disease published in 2021.
Registration required. Registration opens one month before the program at 7:00pm.
