Description

Philip Mayer, professor at Three Rivers Community College in Norwich, will be giving a program regarding immigration policies. Mayer will be focusing on the illegal and legal aspects of the countries that people are coming from and why. He will also give a brief history of immigration to the United State and will discuss the current controversy over our immigration policies. Finally, he will address the costs and benefits of immigration.

Phil Mayer earned a B.S. in Economics from Villanova in 1997, an M.A. in Economics from  Kansas State University in 2001 and an MLS with a concentration in Political Science in 2007 from Fort Hays State University. He began teaching Economics and Political Science in 2001 at Garden City Community College in Western Kansas and has been teaching at Three Rivers Community College in Norwich since 2004.
