This presentation will focus on the rich and dynamic history of New England’s Jewish population. An outline of key events and trends specific to New England’s Jews will be addressed from the colonial period through the present. Various resources and repositories to conduct Jewish genealogical research in the New England states will also be discussed.

Adina Newman is a professional genealogist and educator. She has a doctorate in educational leadership and certificate in genealogical research from Boston University. Her main interests are in Jewish genealogy, genetic genealogy, and New England. She volunteers as a Facebook moderator for a Jewish genetic genealogy group, Social Media Coordinator for NextGen Genealogy Network, and a discussion leader for ProGen 50.
