Program Description

Description

West Hartford Libraries and the Capital Classics Theatre Company team up to bring you the Shakespeare Book Club monthly. Join Capital Classics Artistic Associate and Professor of Theatre Geoffrey Sheehan in discussions of Shakespeare's great works of theatrical literature. The discussions will focus on literary elements, such as story, theme, and character, as well as theatrical staging ideas inspired by the texts.

The Shakespeare Book Club typically gathers in the Library Meeting Room of the Noah Webster Library, 20 South Main Street, West Hartford, at 7:00pm, typically on the first Monday of the month, October through May.

Please visit the library website for specific details on upcoming plays.

No registration is needed to attend. The Club is open to any and all who have read or seen the entire play, and wish to discuss it. You may bring your own covered beverage or quiet snack along.

Parking: Please park in the nearby Isham Garage. Please go directly from the parking garage to the library to validate your parking using your license plate number - go directly to the discussion to validate in the room.
