Rocking our world: The Music Revolution
HIghlighting:
About the presenter, David Robbins: I’ve been actively writing fiction for nearly 30 years, broken up by a few career hiatuses. My first published novel, “The Tu-tone DeSoto͟” (2014), introduces eight teenagers growing up in Iowa. A gritty young adult novel, the story focuses on the kids’ relationships with their parents and among themselves as they come of age during the veiled turbulence underlying The Kennedy Years (1960-63).
A former publications art director/designer, I’m is also an interactive media strategist. I’ve co-authored two design reference books: "Motion by Design" (Laurence King, 2006) and "Visual Effects Artistry" (Elsevier Press, 2009). I currently present a lecture/discussion series on The 1960s – Revisiting a Crucial Decade.” My interest in the 60s comes from the fact that I am a Baby Boomer. I was raised in Darien, Connecticut and currently live in Simsbury, Connecticut where I continue to type away at my novels.
