Description

Talcott Mountain Science Center presents Build a Better World Through Coding Workshops for students in grades 6-8. Students will learn to write original programs ('code') based on real-world examples and simulations in nature and technology. Scratch programming will be used on computers and tablets. Each course will include use of technology and integrate mathematics and language arts, all in line with the Next Generation Science Standards. Registration is required for this 3 week series; register online, by phone at 860-561-6980, or in-person at the Noah Webster Library Children's circulation desk. Workshops meet in the Noah Webster Library Children's storyroom. These workshops are made possible by a generous grant from the West Hartford Chamber of Commerce. Thank-you!
