Day Calendar

Ages 18 months - 4 years: Music, movement, visual literacy and language development in a fun class that teaches social skills, taking turns, and how to express emotions. This program is for the child and their caregiver.

This is part of the Preschool Storytime Series. Registration required.

• Please register for only one series per child.
• Please be mindful of your schedule and be prepared to attend each class. The series takes place over several weeks.
• Children must be recommended age by the start of the series.
• If your child is sick, please stay home.

Ages newborn - 18 months: Welcome BC babies! We will read a brief story, sing a few interactive songs, and have playtime for babies and adults to make some new friends. This program is for the child and their caregiver.

Grades 7-12: The Teen Advisory Board is a volunteer-based club for teen students in 7th-12th grade. Members of TAB assist the Teen Room staff in various tasks that include creating and leading teen programs, social media marketing, teen book curation, and more.

If you are interested in joining TAB, or have any other questions please contact Kari Karp at kkarp@westhartfordCT.gov. Members are usually selected in September but may be accepted on a case-by-case basis.

Grades K-4: Calling all Lego builders…let's construct and create! Each month we will take on a new Lego challenge.

Registration required. Registration opens two weeks before each program at 7:00pm. Please register for ONLY Faxon OR Noah Webster. Register for each date individually.

Grades 8-12: We are a community group committed to empowering immigrant youth to be leaders. We offer teens opportunities to participate in town-wide events, engaging in activism and celebrating diverse cultural holidays and traditions. We also provide a safe environment for students to support one another, express their cultural identities, and share their immigrant experiences in their new schools and communities.

Dungeons & Dragons @ WHPL

The group meets on the last Wednesday of every month (except December) to provide feedback on original scripts. A knowledgeable volunteer moderator is selected from the group each month to oversee the meeting and facilitate the distribution of scripts. The group is geared to those with some screenwriting experience, though all are welcome to listen and observe. Only individuals who attend meetings regularly, and review submitted scripts, qualify to have their own script(s) reviewed by the group. New members must attend two meetings before having scripts considered for review by the group. Meetings are held in a hybrid format, both in person and over Zoom.
