Elton John, in collaboration with lyricist Bernie Taupin, has written approximately 500 songs and sold more than 300 million records making him one of the best-selling music artists of all time. We will travel with Elton from his early days in London as a songwriter and session man through his international fame as a solo performer. We will focus on his golden years (1970 -1976) where he dominated worldwide record charts with 15 hit singles ranging from the ballad “Your Song” to the rocker “Saturday Night’s Alright (For Fighting)”. In addition, we will survey his numerous and wide-ranging accomplishments including soundtracks, films and collaboration albums. Elton John was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame (1992) and The Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame (1994).

As a Beatles Scholar and storyteller, Vinnie Bruno embraces the Beatles' legacy while presenting entertaining, interactive, and informative programs for both the casual listener and hard-core Beatles fans.

​As a 60s’ Rock Historian, his program list includes historic and musical overviews of over 100 rock and roll musicians and groups, each of whom helped define the 50s, 60s and 70s by creating musical landscapes that captivated a generation and whose influence in popular culture still endures more than five decades later. 

Mr. Bruno retired as Director of First Year Programs at LaGuardia Community College (City University of New York). He holds an MPA from Baruch College and, as an adjunct professor for 25 years, taught courses in numerous disciplines including Humanities, Business and Mathematics. He currently resides in both New Jersey and Arizona.
