Program Description

Description

September 15-October 15 is Hispanic Heritage Month! Join us  to celebrate by watching Habla Now, a timely documentary about the American Latino community, followed by a facilitated discussion with community leaders Roselind Amaker and Yeraida Reinheimer.

Habla Now is the fifteenth installment of HBO Latino’s award-winning “Habla” series. This new edition focuses on delivering the message of unity for the Latino community – and the country as a whole. Habla Now addresses major themes in Latino life as well as the issues Latinos are facing today, and their impact on our future, including: discrimination, activism, political participation, racism, family, the arts and culture, representation, immigration, climate change, LGBTQ rights, plus the Latino contribution to the country and the world. In this one-hour special, journalists, authors, entrepreneurs, actors, and activists alike speak to these topics of our times, with humor and heart. Habla Now aims to inspire and empower our community for years to come.
