Program Description

Description

Join us for this engaging program inspired by Doug Tallamy’s Homegrown National Park. Tallamy encourages us to “plant native to rebuild the ecosystems that support all life, and restore the vital connections between plants and animals for a healthier, thriving planet.” Together, we’ll assess our own properties to discover our “Wild Score,” an exercise that helps participants become more aware of the ecological features in their living spaces and opens the door to new possibilities for planting native species and removing invasives. We’ll also introduce the 12-Week Challenge, empowering each participant to begin a personalized journey in climate action by taking small, meaningful steps that add up to real impact.

Suzanne Sayers is a garden designer and certified Master Gardener dedicated to creating sustainable landscapes that celebrate beauty, biodiversity, and environmental responsibility.

Registration required. Registration opens one month before the program at 7:00pm.

Hosted in partnership with the Sustainable West Hartford Commission.
