Are you ready to puzzle? Join us for a speed puzzle competition at the Noah Webster Library on Saturday, October 19 at 11:00 AM. Teams of 4 members will compete for prizes to complete a 500 piece puzzle in the shortest time! The 3 top teams win prizes. Open to ages 12 and up.
The rules:
Each team can consist of up to four (4) members, ages 12 and up. All teams receive the identical 500-piece puzzle. Only the team captain registers, and they register for the whole team (Team Captain: please list team members’ first names in the field provided in this registration form.) If you are unable to attend, please email Kirsten at kkilbourn@westhartfordct.gov so that teams who are on the waitlist can be contacted.
Competition Format:
- Each team receives the same puzzle.
- No one gets to see the puzzle until the timer begins. The puzzle boxes will be placed in the middle of the table with a cover over them.
- Teams try to put the puzzle together the fastest.
- The competition will last two hours. If there is no declared winner by the end of the time limit, the winner is chosen by their remaining number of loose pieces.
- There are no devices or outside assistance permitted while working on a puzzle.
- A moderator will handle the timer and completion times and will observe and ensure that competitors are abiding by the rules.
- Individuals and teams are not allowed to distract or approach team tables when the competition is in progress.
