2021 March Madness Library Chess Tournament

Description

Grades 6-12: The West Hartford Libraries would like to participate in the 2021 March Madness Library Chess Tournament presented by Team DIG USA. In order to take part, we a team of six players (intermediate level) and 1 alternate.

>>>>>If you are interested in playing as a team member, please e-mail the teen department at kkarp@westhartfordCT.gov by March 12. (Final team rosters will be sent to Team DIG USA at that time.<<<<< You do not need to be a member of virtual chess club to play in this event. 

Details:

Who: Team of six and 1 alternate, randomly selected from among interested players.

What: Library teams are paired up and will compete in single elimination matches.

When: Saturday, March 20 1:30-3:30PM.

            Login begins at 1:00PM.

Where: Online. Players will need to be logged into: 1) Zoom, 2) Chess.com, 3) Email (to get pairings and results during the tournament).
