Description

In this series you will learn how to access and effectively use free, cloud-based software made available by Google. Applications covered include Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Photos, and Google Drive (Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Drawings). Registration is required for each class you would like to take. You can register online or by calling the reference desk at 860.561.6990.

 

Gmail and Google Calendar (March 12, 3:30 - 5 at Noah Webster Library)

Learn how Gmail works - get started with a free email account and learn how to send and receive messages. Learn how to use Google's online calendar to effectively manage your time, share event information, send invites, get notifications, and more.

 

Google Drive (April 9, 3:30 - 5 at Noah Webster Library)

Learn how to use Google Drive to create documents, spreadsheets, presentations, and images (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drawings). Using Google Drive you can create, access, and manage files on any computer or device with internet access. You must have a Gmail account set up prior to taking this class.

 

Google Photos (May 7, 3:30 - 5 at Noah Webster Library)

Learn how to install and use Google's online photo gallery to back-up your photos and free up space on your phone or other devices. You will also learn how to create animations and collages using Google Photos. You must have a Gmail account set up prior to taking this class.
