Narrative non-fiction author Paul Kix discusses his critically acclaimed and best-selling book, about the path an aristocrat took to become France’s bravest commando during World War II. The story of Robert de La Rochefoucauld’s war is one of death-defying sabotages and cross-dressing escapes. And it’s all true.

Paul Kix is a deputy editor at ESPN the Magazine. His writing has also appeared in The New Yorker, GQ, and New York. He lives in Farmington, CT with his family. The Saboteur has been optioned for a film. Cary Fukunaga (HBO’s True Detective and the feature film Beast of No Nation) is scheduled to direct. Michael Sugar (Spotlight) is set to produce.
