Description
California isn't the only state that has great wine. Explore Connecticut’s unique collection of wineries and vineyards, all the way from Litchfield to Preston! The Connecticut Wine Trail boasts some of the most delicious red and white wines in the New England area, all within an hour’s drive from your home. Try just a few (or all of them). You’ll be amazed at how different each winery is, depending on their region, individual winemaker, or personal preference.
This program will be discussing the various programs offered and events the wineries have. We’ll also be discussing the CT Wine Trail’s Passport Program, which consists of 40 wineries and has a grand prize of a trip for two to Spain.
Presenter Michelle “Shel” Griffis is an avid wine enthusiast from Rocky Hill, CT who enjoys visiting vineyards and learning about wine. She wrote for the CT Wine Trail from September 2016 until the winter of 2017. While not still writing for ctwine.com, she likes to share her experiences along the Trail and encourage others to get to know the local vineyards and wineries, as well as the people who work in them and their wine.
PARKING: There is ample library event parking in the nearby Isham Garage. Please bypass the garage kiosks and come directly to the Noah Webster Library Meeting Room, 20 South Main Street, where you may validate your parking with your license plate number.
