Program Description

Description

Please note that this program is in-person at the Noah Webster Library.

The past couple years have taught us that life circumstances can change in an instant. If they do, are you prepared? Consider some difficult questions….Do you want to be on life support? Who will pay your bills if you can’t? And if you pass away, how will your estate be divided amongst your heirs? In this program, you’ll learn about wills, trusts, powers of attorney (POA), and healthcare directives. You’ll walk away understanding what these documents are for, and what you need to do to create yours. Even if you have already created an estate plan, come learn about recent law updates and discover if you should have your existing documents reviewed and updated.

As Chair of Czepiga Daly Pope & Perri’s Special Needs Planning and Fiduciary Services departments, Attorney Colleen Masse helps her clients with a wide array of planning needs. She can partner with you on creating your comprehensive estate plan or laying out long-term care planning techniques that will protect your assets. Her practice focuses on planning for both elders and persons with special needs of all ages. For seniors, Colleen crafts plans to preserve wealth, protect well-being and maximize public benefits. For her clients with disabilities, Colleen helps them use Special Needs Trusts to maintain and improve quality of life and protect money to afford the care they need for the long run.

Before joining Czepiga Daly Pope & Perri, Colleen was with PLAN of CT where she worked with families and their attorneys to determine the appropriate trust type for the families’ given situation. She also worked with the Connecticut State Department of Education where she represented students in the care of the Connecticut Department of Children and Families (DCF).
