Description
Yoga nidra is a guided resting practice that will help to balance the body and mind. In these turbulent times, when we are all feeling a little stress, yoga nidra practice can help to balance the nervous system and create some rest in all the systems of the body. Just lie down and let yoga therapist Suzanne Manafort guide you through the resting practice. No experience with yoga or meditation necessary. Please bring a yoga mat or blanket with you.
Suzanne Manafort is the founder of Mindful Yoga Therapy (MYT). MYT was developed by Suzanne Manafort through her volunteer work with veterans at her local Veterans Administration hospital in Connecticut. In addition to the effectiveness of MYT for veterans, it is also now being used for alcohol and drug addiction, anxiety and stress disorders, diseases of the central nervous system, domestic violence, eating disorders, and trauma.
Registration required. Registration opens one month before the program at 7:00pm.
