Audrey B. Carlson, a public speaker, writer, and owner of the Happiness Club in Hartford, CT will present a talk on how our personal pets can play a positive role in our lives. After a personal family tragedy of losing her daughter at the tender age of 24, Audrey found her pets helped her in her grief to find meaning in those very dark days. “Pets can bring meaning to life again and they have a physiological effect on our health and well-being." Audrey will tell stories of how animals teach us unconditional love, forgiveness, and how to tap into that forgotten kid in all of us.

Audrey’s friend and mentor, Dr. Bernie Siegel, author of many healing books, has published some of Audrey’s stories in his latest book, Love, Animals and Miracles.  This evening’s talk is sure to bring those who attend some new meaning when we experience life in a new way.

The Happiness Club is an organization with the mission to promote the benefits of being happy through meetings, newsletters, and an informative web site, to the people in our community, and around the world.
