Come join us for this free and worthwhile event Jan. 22nd at 6:30pm at the Noah Webster Library. Empower yourself, by learning more about mental health for you, your co-workers, and loved ones. You will learn how to:

  • Minimize the Mental Health Stigma
  • Prevent Burnout and Know How it Differs from Depression
  • Navigate Difficult Topics like Mental Illness and Suicide
  • Learn About Isolation & Loneliness/Fostering a Sense of Belonging
  • Understand Anxiety Disorder and Substance Abuse
  • Create, Promote & Ensure Workplace Mental Health Initiatives
  • Establish Personal Well-Being & Supportive Mental Health Practices
  • Familiarize Yourself with Health Benefits & Resources Available to You

These topics and more will be presented, followed by a Q&A for audience members. This presentation will be led by Paul Brainerd, Education and Community Outreach Coordinator for the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) of Connecticut.

Paul is a graduate of Kansas State University and worked in the aviation industry for over 30 years. After retiring, he has directed his passion and commitment to NAMI CT over the past 10 years, to broaden education, advocacy and awareness to Mental Health in the State of Connecticut.
