Solar Eclipse Family Event

NASA Ambassador Laurie Averill will present a program to share news of the Annular Eclipse to take place on October 14, 2023 and the Total Eclipse on April 8, 2024. She will share why these occur, where to see them in totality, what the maximum coverage in the Hartford area will be and how to observe them safely. If the weather is clear on this day, there will be opportunities for a solar observation.

The program will take place inside the Noah Webster Library Meeting Room and outdoors on the front lawn of the Noah Webster Library. Each registrant will receive a pair of solar eclipse glasses at the event.
