Description

West Hartford residents and students in grades 6-12 are invited to submit their original poems via email to teenpoetry@westhartfordlibrary.org by Saturday, April 30.

Poems may be any style or length and up to two poems may be entered for judging.

Poets must send two copies of their poems in .doc, .docx, or .pdf format.

1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners at the middle and high school levels will be awarded gift card prizes. Poems are read and judged by library staff and winners will be announced Monday, May 23.

Winning poems will be displayed in the Noah Webster Library teen room and be posted on the teen webpage for one year at https://www.westhartfordlibrary.org/teens/writing-contest-winners/.
