Description
Join us to celebrate National Library Week with a deep dive into the history of your local library!
The tradition of a library in West Hartford dates all the way back to our pre-Revolutionary days and has continued with amazing advancements, new buildings, branches, and even a makerspace. As the times have changed, the West Hartford Public Library has responded to the community by evolving to meet their ever-changing interests, needs, and quest for a good book. With the new Elmwood Community Center poised to add a new chapter to this long story of community service, join Local History Librarian Brett Freiburger to find out how the library got here, where it's headed, and why there is technically no Noah Webster Library!
Registration required. Registration opens one month before the program at 7:00pm.
