THURSDAY, OCTOBER 4 - The 2018 West Hartford READS! author is BILLY COLLINS, often referred to as "America's Poet." West Hartford READS! is a town-wide initiative encouraging everyone to read the works of one notable author.

On October 4, Billy Collins visits West Hartford Town Hall Auditorium (3rd floor), 50 South Main Street, West Hartford, for a Reading, Q&A, and Book Signing. Books sold by Barnes & Noble at the event will be autographed by the author after the Q&A. Estimated event length: 60 - 75 minutes.

First come; first seated. There is no reserved seating for this event.

Doors open at 6:00pm. You do not have to be a West Hartford resident to attend. There is free parking in the surface lot of Town Hall, 50 South Main Street - bring your parking ticket (received at the gate) to the event for full parking validation.

MUSIC: Pre-event music begins at 6:00pm by MUZAK3 - a jazz band with a big band sound - playing traditional and contemporary favorites. This talented West Hartford group features: Ben Gardner: alto saxophone, clarinet; David Gardner: acoustic bass, electric bass; Jacob Yontef Mathog: percussion; and Noah Yontef Mathog: tenor saxophone, keyboard.
