Zoo on the Go! A Winter Vacation Special Program
Animals from the Zoo at Forest Park will visit Faxon Library on Tuesday, February 19. Registration is required, by filling out the form below or calling 860-561-8201.
Zoo On the Go is an educational outreach program that brings live animals, artifacts, and other educational materials to libraries, schools, day care centers, hospitals, retirement centers, camps, and other locations. This innovative program features a variety of animal ambassadors and artifacts. A representative from the zoo will provide information about the animals, including their special adaptations, habitats, behavior, diets, and status in the wild.
The Zoo in Forest Park and Education Center is a non-profit organization governed by the Forest Park Zoological Society. Situated in Forest Park, a 735 acre woodland park in Springfield, the Zoo features exotic and indigenous animals representing a large variety of species found throughout the world and in North America.
