IN-PERSON PROGRAM

We all have things we are passionate about; be it cause or person. I am passionate about love…there are times when my love, passion, and pleasure collide. These poems are the blood of my emotions dripped onto the page for the world to see. Join me as I share poems from my collection, Passions Released, and discuss the reason some poems were birthed, answer questions, and reflect on the importance of sharing your intimate truth. I will also share the short story that is tucked inside this delectable selection. I look forward to sharing my passion for poetry this Valentine's Day.

T'challa Williams is a creative advocate born and raised in Hartford, Connecticut. T’challa is a Poet, Actress, Bestselling Author, Teaching Artist, Workshop Facilitator, owner of Wright Ink Productions, Executive Co-Founder of the literary organization Hartford’s L.I.T., board member of the Greater Hartford Arts Council, a 2021 100 Women of Color award recipient, 2023 Hartford Public Schools Impact Award recipient so much more! Her fearless voice and strong words explain exactly why this creative is known as the Lover & the Revolutionary. She is a necessary element to the plight and voice of disenfranchised people.

This program is part of our Love Is in the Air celebration, inspired by the launch of WHPL’s official Romance Collection. During the month of February, join us in celebrating the many ways love shows up in the world.
