Rosie the Riveter (NWL)

“Rosie the Riveter” became an iconic symbol of working women during World War II. What was it like for them? We’ll look at propaganda posters, art, music, and photos, and hear real-life accounts of Connecticut women who worked for victory in the war.

Natalie is the Adult Programs Manager at the Connecticut Museum of Culture and History. She holds a B.A. in history from Smith College and an M.A. in women's history from the University of Maryland. She has worked in museum education for most of her career and teaches history courses at Manchester Community College.
