Grades 8-12: We are a community group committed to empowering immigrant youth to be leaders. We offer teens opportunities to participate in town-wide events, engaging in activism and celebrating diverse cultural holidays and traditions. MYC is a council of students in grades 9-12 who represent different public, private, and home schools in West Hartford. They meet twice a month (1 council meeting, one work session) from September-May to help plan and facilitate community impact projects that improve the quality of life of West Hartford youth. They also work with local departments and organizations to help with town-wide initiatives as they arise.
This program will take place at West Hartford Conference Center, 50 South Main Street.
