Ages 18 months - 4 years: Music, movement, visual literacy and language development in a fun class that teaches social skills, taking turns, and how to express emotions. Program is for the child and caregiver.

Ages 13-23 months: Energetic storytime to match the energy of beginning walkers! For active one-year olds with books, songs, and rhymes with emphasis on repetition for developing minds. This program is for the child and caregiver.

If you are a speaker of a language other than English and you would like to practice your English, join us every Friday morning at the Faxon Library! This is an adult intermediate level English class for people with some English experience, who can hold some conversations speaking about everyday topics and personal preferences. The class will review grammar basics, learn how to offer and request advice, talk about plans, and fix common mistakes in English pronunciation.

The group typically meets on the third Saturday of the month to provide a space for poets to read their poems aloud and receive feedback. The group has self-published several collections featuring the work of group members. Meetings are held in a hybrid format, both in person and over Zoom.

Join your fellow fiction writers monthly on the second Monday over to give and receive feedback. A knowledgeable volunteer moderator is selected from the group each month. New attendees are welcome! The Building Connections Book Club is for West Hartford Advanced English learners who want to develop their English reading and communication skills in a diverse, inspiring, and encouraging environment. Participants will be given reading material each week and then meet in a group to ask questions and discuss the text.
