Week Calendar

Ages 18 months - 4 years: Music, movement, visual literacy and language development in a fun class that teaches social skills, taking turns, and how to express emotions. Program is for the child and caregiver.

This is part of the Preschool Storytime Series. Registration required.

• Please register for only one series per child.
• Please be mindful of your schedule and be prepared to attend each class. The series takes place over several weeks.
• Children must be recommended age by the start of the series.
• If your child is sick, please stay home.

Ages 13-23 months: Energetic storytime to match the energy of beginning walkers! For active one-year olds with books, songs, and rhymes with emphasis on repetition for developing minds. This program is for the child and caregiver.

If you are a speaker of a language other than English and you would like to practice your English, join us every Friday morning at the Faxon Library! This is an adult intermediate level English class for people with some English experience, who can hold some conversations speaking about everyday topics and personal preferences. The class will review grammar basics, learn how to offer and request advice, talk about plans, and fix common mistakes in English pronunciation.

Ages newborn - 15 months: Informal gathering for conversation and play. Parent or caregiver must accompany each child. 

No registration required.

The Building Connections Book Club is for West Hartford Advanced English learners who want to develop their English reading and communication skills in a diverse, inspiring, and encouraging environment. Participants will be given reading material each week and then meet in a group to ask questions and discuss the text.
