Description
Crafting for a Cause! Stitchers of all levels are invited to drop in to our new Project Linus group on Wednesdays from 1pm - 2pm to knit/crochet/quilt in the company of others. We will be making handmade, washable blankets to be given to seriously ill and traumatized children through the Project Linus organization. Details on Project Linus as well as suggestions for blanket sizes, materials, patterns, etc. can be found on the website: https://www.projectlinus.org/.
Our library group will provide a social opportunity to meet with other stitchers while creating blankets for children in need. Please bring your own pattern and yarn, needles, fabric, etc. Bring a bag lunch, if desired.
PARKING: There is ample library parking in the nearby Isham Parking Garage. The Noah Webster Library is at street level about 100 steps from the Isham Garage just along Isham Road--the entrance to the library is across from the Cheesecake Factory and near Barnes & Noble. Please bypass the garage payment kiosks and go directly to the Information Desk on the Main Level for free parking validation. A librarian will help you validate your parking with your license plate number - you must validate within 15 minutes of leaving your car. There is some handicapped parking in front of the library (20 S. Main St.), as well as metered street parking (pay at the street kiosks) in front of the library.
