Description

Grades 6-12: DIG USA Chess is partnering with the West Hartford Libraries Teen Department to run a 3-week virtual beginner chess series. Students will learn the basics and then gradually move to tactics and strategies. Coach Carter from Team DIG USA will teach for half of the class and then students will play each other on Chess.com for the second half of the class. Chess coaches will watch the matches and analyze students' strengths and weaknesses so that they know how to improve every game!

No previous chess experience is required.

Please sign up for the entire series using the March 16 date. If you are registering after March 16, please e-mail the Teen Department to be added to the attendance list.
