All ages: A storytime with stories and music for the whole family! Children of all ages are welcome. This program is for the child and their caregiver.

Ages 2-4: Experiment with various materials and strengthen fine motor skills to make super-simple arts and crafts, followed by free play. This program is for the adult and their caregiver.

Ages 1-5: Spend a fun-filled morning of music with us. Dance to great children's music, play musical instruments, and swing scarves. This class is appropriate for more confidently walking toddlers and preschoolers. This program is for the child and their caregiver.

Ages newborn - 18 months: Welcome BC babies! We will read a brief story, sing a few interactive songs, and have playtime for babies and adults to make some new friends. This program is for the child and their caregiver.

Grades 7-12: The Teen Advisory Board is a volunteer-based club for teen students in 7th-12th grade. Members of TAB assist the Teen Room staff in various tasks that include creating and leading teen programs, social media marketing, teen book curation, and more.

If you are interested in joining TAB, or have any other questions please contact Kari Karp at kkarp@westhartfordCT.gov. Members are usually selected in September but may be accepted on a case-by-case basis.

Grades 8-12: We are a community group committed to empowering immigrant youth to be leaders. We offer teens opportunities to participate in town-wide events, engaging in activism and celebrating diverse cultural holidays and traditions. If you are a speaker of a language other than English and you would like to practice your English, join us every Friday morning at the Faxon Library! This is an adult intermediate level English class for people with some English experience, who can hold some conversations speaking about everyday topics and personal preferences. The class will review grammar basics, learn how to offer and request advice, talk about plans, and fix common mistakes in English pronunciation.
